Caviar is the discerning diner’s food delivery service.
They offer food delivery from high quality restaurants (who usually do not deliver food) and they only cover 18 major markets in the US. Caviar is exclusive, upscale, and high quality… like caviar.
But don’t expect Caviar’s luxurious persona to sway our opinion. As you will see, we remain unbiased when it comes to our food delivery service reviews.
In this Caviar review we will cover:
- A quick history of the company
- What areas they service
- What kind of food they deliver
- What people are saying about Caviar
- Bonus: Coupon code you can try on your first order!
Let’s start this Caviar review with a quick history of the company.
Caviar was founded in 2012 by the same team who created munchonme.com (later acquired by collegebudget.com).
Caviar’s goal was to become a “curated Seamless.” Instead of offering a wide variety of restaurants to deliver from, Caviar partnered with a curated selection of restaurants that usually didn’t deliver (and had at least 4 stars on Yelp).
In 2014, Square announced they would be acquiring Caviar (for a rumored $90 million) to eventually replace Square Order.
